"There is something in the New York air that makes sleep useless."
-Simone De Beauvoir
New York is known for the 'city that never sleeps'. [;
"New York is the biggest collection of villages in the world."
-Alistair Cooke
It's amazing how many different kind of people and cultures there are in New York every single day.

I love this winter picture of New York City streets! it's probably a pain to drive in New York with snow though...

The One and Only

I almost forgot about the Rockefeller tree! I went to see the tree about a week before christmas, but this isn't one of my pictures. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many people there were pushing and shoving to see it.
New York is the dirtiest, largest, ugliest, broken-down city in the world-but it's the only one.
- Isaac Stern
This quote is absolutely true.
"I like the rough, impersonality of New York...Human relations are oiled by jokes, complaints, and confessions-all made with the assumption of never seeing the other person again."
-Bill Bradley
I really liked this quote because there's a lot of business people in New York which always come in and out and are always on the move, so when they stop and chat with someone, it usually is just a joke, or a complaint and then you usually don't see the person ever again.

This Friday, December 23rd, there is going to be a circus and carnival before the holidays! It will be held at the Millennium Theatre from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. The circus/carnival is going to be featuring all kinds of acts. For example, Cirque du Soleil, Moscow Circus, Ringling Bros Circus, Comedy Pet Theatre, Imperial Chinese Circus, Word Best Magician Jay Matioli, World Clowns champions MIMIRICHI, America`s Got Talent finalists, and others. Circus/carnival in the winter? Sounds fun!

A car is useless in New York, essential everywhere else. The same with good manners.
- Mignon McLaughlin

This quote makes me laugh because i'm sure we all know New Yorkers aren't always the nicest of people!

Harvest Festival

Halloween is right around the corner, and we are all in the Fall mood, and so is New York! Recently, New York held its Harvest Festival. The festival included a Halloween parade, musical guests, face painting, story telling, art activities, pumpkin decorating, and more!

New York Film Festival

Through the 16th of October, New Yorks' 49th Film Festival is under way at the Lincoln Center in Alice Tully Hall and the Walter Reade Theater, along with the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. The festival is held every year by the Lincoln Center Film Society to celebrate all the film art of the world and what's the new 'it' of movies. Richard Pen`a, Scott Foundas,  Melissa Anderson, Dennis Lim, and Todd McCarthy will be the judges for the festival, selecting an average of 28 feature films and 12 short films. But get this, there are no categories or prizes and awards-- yet the festival must be a hit to go on every year since 1963!
